Religious Education is an important part of the ministry of a parish. Of course, parents are primarily responsible for forming their children in the faith. It is a promise that you as parents made when your children were baptized. The parish community stands ready to help you in this effort.
For those who are enrolled in a Catholic elementary or high school, parish religious formation is not required, but certainly is encouraged. For those who enrolled in public, charter, or non-catholic private schools, your children ought to be enrolled in our Religious Formation program, or that at another parish. Our High School Faith Formation/Youth Ministry is done in collaboration with St Patrick and St. Malachi.
Since we are small in number, our formation will include supporting you as parents in the religious instruction of your child. But first, we need you to register your family in the program by the end of August. Please do so, and we will contact you about scheduled sessions to follow.
