Arts Renaissance Tremont

It is our delight to write to you in celebration of Arts Renaissance Tremont’s 30th Anniversary Season.

As you know, we lost our beloved founder, Chris Haff-Paluck a year ago in April. ART will present a special memorial program in her honor on April 23, 2022, 3:00pm at Trinity Cathedral.

ART’s 30th Anniversary Season will be presented at a new venue, St Wendelin Parish.

As new Artistic Directors, the Cavani String Quartet members, Annie Fullard, Catherine Cosbey, Eric Wong, and Kyle Price, are deeply honored to carry on Chris’s loving legacy.

We wish to offer all of you a fabulous 30th Anniversary Season, filled with great music for all. For more information on our concert series, visit us at https://artconcerts.org/

Lenten Season 2020

We think of Lent as a time of personal fasting, prayer and repentance.  Lent is a time for the whole Church to engage in these activities.  Let’s journey together and support one another.  Then, the 40 days of Lent will lead us to our better selves, to the 50 days of Easter, so that we might see the purpose of Christ’s suffering, death and resurrection.

We should ask ourselves “What do I need to change about myself?”  or “What grace do I need to strengthen my spirit?”  Rather than simply “giving something up,” let’s look for something which will truly make us more Christlike.  What we prepare for through our Lenten journey we can then celebrate in the season of Easter. Make Lent a time of more intense praying, fasting and giving.

  • Join us for Mass on Mondays and Fridays at 11am, in addition to your usual weekend Mass attendance.  And, on Fridays we will pray the Stations of the Cross following mass.
  • On the Wednesday evenings of March 4, 18, 25 and April 1st, Fr. Kropac will present a special Lenten Reflection Series on the Stations of the Cross at St. Patrick on Bridge. There will be Mass at 5:30 followed by a simple supper at 6 and then the program from 6:30-7:30.  It will be a time to share our own experiences both of the Cross and of God’s saving grace.

Plan to participate in the Great Easter Three Days (Triduum) this year.  Holy Thursday, Mass of the Lord’s Supper, Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion and Easter Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord together make up our Easter celebration, the foundation of our faith.

May God Bless us during these Holy Days!

2020 Catholic Charities Annual Appeal

The 2020 Catholic Charities Annual Appeal is underway with the Parish In-Pew Appeal taking place in all parishes in the Diocese of Cleveland on the weekend of February 8-9. This is not a special collection; rather, the Catholic Charities Annual Appeal represents the chance for all Catholics to make a significant pledge, payable in installments, to Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland. Acting as One Body in Christ, we can change faces of despair, loneliness, darkness and addiction into FACES OF HOPE.

#FacesofHope: Though We Are Many, We Are One In Christ. Your financial gift will provide essential programs and services to people throughout all eight counties of the Diocese of Cleveland. On behalf of those who are hungry and homeless, people who are alone and isolated, and families that struggle with poverty…Thank You!

The Vocation of St. Wendelin, YouTube Video

The Vocation of St. Wendelin is a film that contrasts the rebirth of a once closed Cleveland Church (on its 5th anniversary of reopening) and an art installation created by sculptor Sandro Bonaiuto.

Over 5 years, the church has grown steadily while attracting new families. A statue was commissioned to mark this event and to provide a prayer garden for the community at large. The documentation of sculpting, casting, welding, polishing and final unveiling are shown. This video explores the importance of this work as an art installation and as a symbol of resurgence for a Cleveland Community.
